The West Orlando Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Best Fest trade show yesterday. Every year, tons of amazing restaurants gather to hand out food and drinks to everyone in attendance. It goes without saying that I stuffed my face. I sampled something from every single booth there and I was really impressed by the variety of this years offerings. I’d especially like to mention Tavern Opa because their Greek salad had no lettuce in it. An older Greek gentleman once told me that having lettuce in a Greek salad should be considered a crime! :: Please excuse the aside ::
I was there, along with the rest of my office crew, to promote Royall Media and network with old clients while introducing ourselves to other members of the business community.
This year our slogan was “Snuff Out The Competition – Hire A Marketing Ninja” and everyone, including myself, dressed in custom orange ninja uniforms. Not exactly the best option for stealth, but very effective at drawing attention to our booth and ourselves.
The whole night was a ton of fun until I was about 5 miles from my apartment and I got a flat tire. Luckily, I was right at an exit when I noticed the flat and there was a convenience store (un Dep pour mes ami francophone) less then 200 meters from the exit. I wonder what the store clerk thought when he saw me dressed in an orange ninja uniform parked my car and did a quick tire change.
Perhaps no day can be perfect, but honestly I had such a good day that even a flat tire barely fazed me. However the cost of the tires today was a little more distressing.
